The Story of Bluebell and her new kitten

Bluebell was brought to us by one of those selfless ladies who devote so much life and love to rescueing abandoned cats. She was tiny when she arrived, with a big pregnant belly - all babies and bones. She had been living in an abandoned lot, fed daily in the bluebells by her rescuer. When it was obvious she was pregnant, she was trapped. We were able to offer her a space to call home to have her kittens (rather than pregnancy termination). Marmalade's Miracle

In October 2006, Marmalade was found by his owners in the alleyway, open mouth breathing, stretched out and he had urinated where he lay. He did get up eventually, and made his way home. I saw him a week later, because he was not eating. When I saw him, he was significantly dehydrated, emaciated, and painful around his belly. His right kidney was around three times its normal size. His nails were all intact, so I guessed that he had not been hit by a car, but may have experienced other trauma or been poisoned. FULL STORY
