Dr Nicky Joosting graduated 1998 from the world-class veterinary faculty Onderstepoort, South Africa. This faculty has recipricocity with Australia, New Zealand and the UK; and Dr. Nicky is registered with the Royal college of Veterinary Surgeons (MRCVS). After completing Canadian board exams she practised briefly on the Island and for 18 months in Penticton before moving to Vancouver, where she has worked as a locum veterinarian until opening Vancouver Feline Hospital. She grew up in a multicat household and has always wanted to work as feline specialist. Key to this is recognition that CATS ARE NOT SMALL DOGS! A feline-only practice has a different mindset to that of mixed practice, and the cats do appreciate the difference. To keep current, Dr. Nicky attends various conferences and continuing education seminars world-wide, as well as maintaining a daily reading schedule using various journal and e-sources. Establishing Vancouver Feline Hospital and keeping the focus of the original concept has kept her busy the last few years. Dr. Nicky lives in a multiple cat household which includes several geriatric cats.
Keep a balanced purrspective :Do your own research and don't believe everything you hear or read.
