Michaels Story

Michaels StoryMichael's owner passed away in 2003. He lived alone in the house, visited daily by a relative, until the estate was cleared. With no home available, he came to live with us. He was five years old, a big gentle bruiser of a Tomcat. We neutered, dewormed, deflea'd and vaccinated him.

He was been tested for FIV and Feline Leukaemia, the two virus that in cats cause an AIDs-like syndrome, and he is negative (has not been infected). Tomcats, Queens, strays and outdoor cats are at risk of getting either of these two preventable diseases.

Michael's loving relative visited him every day, but could not take him into her home. This very special cat eventually found a very special home. He has never looked back, and has shown no desire to ever go outdoors again!

Ontario landlords may not discriminate between pet owners and non-pet owners. Should BC do the same?
